Why APC Must Give Oyo South Senatorial Ticket to A Strong Candidate !! By Adesola Aderinto.

Definitely, it is the All Progressives Congress(APC), Oyo-state chapter that, firstly, noticed and reacted to the ineptitude and incompetence of Senator, Muhammed Kola Balogun(MKB), that is currently representing Oyo South Senatorial District, in the National Assembly, and later, his Party, People’s Democratic Party(PDP), also, joined the array of critics. This call for helmsmanship change, in the district, come 2023, does not exclude the entire electorates of the district. They have realized that MKB is a disaster and that his watch is the worst legislative leadership ever experienced in the district.

Emphatically, when it comes to pro-people and quality representation, MKB is not just a mere failure but he is a crass one. An undiluted failure. Hence, Oyo South constituents, in their majority, have unanimously rejected MKB and they (we) are earnestly looking for a credible alternative, to replace him, come 2023.

Governor Makinde, as a student of power, though, who looks like a neophyte but he is a learner who is fast manning the anatomy of power, even, more than rendering good governance to the good people of Oyo-State, has gotten proper feedbacks that “Kola Balogun” is a bad market and he must be replaced, to protect the source of his 2019 gubernatorial fortune – Oyo South.

It is an open secret that Oyo South is the source of Makinde’s governorship fortune in 2019. Not only Makinde, but any would be governor, in the pacesetter state, will never toy with the most populous and the most powerful senatorial district, Oyo South. Records have shown it and antecedents have affirmed it that any party that wins Oyo South Senatorial District, during any electioneering period, has highest chances of winning governorship contest in such General Elections. In short, at least two former Oyo South Senators, Abiola Ajimobi and Rasheed Ladoja, had later come back to become the helmsmen of Oyo state.

Either our party, Oyo APC believes it or not, such as Soji Akanbi and very few others, Engr Joseph Tegbe is one of the key financiers and sponsors of the party that upholds it, especially, its membership, in this post 2019 era. So, Makinde that was trying to net Soji Akanbi, JT and few others of such timber and caliber, might know what he was doing.

Let me give you this for free of charge, a credible source confirmed it that GSM had severally troubled Soji Akanbi to pick Oyo PDP South Senatorial ticket up, based on SOJ’s intimidating grassroots appeals and unparalleled philanthropic gestures, in the district but the current Oyo-state governor, GSM needed to leave SOJ’s neck alone when he noticed that the Okanlomo of Ibadan would not accept such offer due to his unalloyed loyalty and highest regards for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,”The Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom”.

Now that the deed has been done, and if the rumour is real that the Makinde’s netted JT has been penciled down as Oyo South PDP Senatorial flagbearer, come 2023, Oyo APC needs an highly experienced, widely connected, intellectually capable and politically strong candidate which I, objectively, see in Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi “SOJ”.

Truthfully, SOJ is an organic leader. He knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. As the senator then, he sponsored many pro-people bills and raised countless masses-centric motions.

Then, SOJ organized many massive empowerment programmes. He extensively assisted market women, he greatly supported youth, he really aided the aged, and he hugely empowered farmers. He built many classrooms across the district, he provided safe drinking water through his many motorized boreholes and he did many more with his midas touch. These are many of his philanthropic gestures he has started, very long before becoming senator, then, and which he has continued doing so, through his Foundation, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation(RAAF), even, till date.

In SOJ, Oyo APC has a formidable candidate to neutralize psychological operations that GSM has launched, and still launching on Oyo APC. In SOJ, Oyo APC has a gallant flag bearer, to record landslide victory for the party in the district, come 2023, and dislodge PDP from ruling our pacesetter state, next year. So, let’s all rally round SOJ and push him forward as our, APC flag bearer come 2023. He is the best man for the job …. APC!!! Change Oyo-State.
