World Teachers’ Day: Dr Yunus Akintunde Celebrates Nigerian Teachers.

As the world commemorates this year’s Teachers’ Day, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate in Oyo Central, come 2023, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde has celebrated the Nigerian Teachers on the occasion of this year world teachers day. He saluted their steadfastness in nation building, impacting of knowledge and serving as emblem of unity in the country.

Dr Akintunde in his goodwill message, acknowledged the sacrifices of the Nigerian Teachers, saying that their kindness and support for the Nigerian students remain paramount and highly commendable. He appealed to the administration of the President Muhammadu Buhari to improve welfare on the teachers, so as to boost their morale.

Dr Akintunde hailed that teachers are the makers of the society and he mantained that they should be treated with utmost care and honour which they deserve.

“I want to commend the Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT for the commemoration of this year’s Teacher’s Day, which has made it pertinent for teachers in the country to celebrate and be celebrated.

“As we all know, the duty of a teacher is far beyond just teaching in the classroom, hence, they deserve all the best treatment because they are the makers of Doctors, Professors and every profession anyone could think of.

“As the country graciously marks Teacher’s Day today, I humbly beseech the federal government to look into the plights of Teachers in the country and ensure that all that concerns their salaries, allowances and welfare are held in high esteem”.

Dr Akintunde encouraged teachers in the country to continue towing the path of dignity, trust and sincerity, noting that they represent everyone’s image and as such they should depict the positive side of life.
