National Coordinator, Women Solidarity Movement for Developmental Agenda(WoSMDA), Comrade Rofiat Oyindamola Muhammed has greeted all women on the occasion of this year international women’s day celebration

In her solidarity message, Comrade Muhammad said,”Happy International Women’s Day to all the women, amazons, heroines, and philosopher-queens who are breaking barriers and making history! Today, let’s celebrate the beauty, grace, and strength of women all around the world. Happy Women’s Day! Yes, Happy Women’s Day to all the women who are making a difference in their communities, in their fields of endeavours and in the world, at large.

Muhammad recalled that International Women’s Day, or Women’s Day celebrated annually on March 8, is an important occasion where achievements of women in their social, economic, cultural, and political spheres are hailed, acknowledged and appreciated the world over.

She continued,”As the emphasis is on woman’s rights movements, the day sees organisations across the world coming together to plan events that highlight the role of women. So, this is why WOSMDA is greatly celebrating all tigresses out there.

“As we all know, the theme of this year is ‘Embrace Equity’ which stands for the world talking about why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action”. Muhammad emphasized.

“A woman needs to be celebrated each and every moment in her life. However, the world has taken out a special day to celebrate ladies, which is March 8.
Only a woman can almost die and give birth at the same time. Be proud to be a WOMAN:
W – Wonderful wife
O – Outstanding friend
M – Marvelous daughter
A – Adorable sister
N – Nurturing mother
She is a Dreamer, she is a believer, she is a doer, she is an achiever, and that she is ‘You’.
Here’s to celebrating the power and strength of all the incredible women around the world. Wishing you a very Happy Women’s Day!”She submitted.
