Xmas: NANS SW Felicitates With Christians, Nigerian Students, Preaches Love, Unity.
The National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) South West(Zone-D) under the leadership of Comrade Kappo Samuel Olawale has felicitated with all Nigerian Students who are Christians in Southwestern Nigeria and across the country on this special celebration of Christmas day.
He urged all Nigerian Students to make the fear of God the foundation for their lives.
In the same vein, the Deputy Coordinator of the Zone, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman “DAN FODIO” also congratulated all Christians faithful for witnessing this year Christmas celebration.
He congratulated all Nigerian Students on yuletide “as we also fervently thank the almighty God for keeping us alive to witness this year’s birthday of Jesus Christ”, he revealed.
“Christmas as we all know is a day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This day specially symbolises the day that the world’s messiah was born with the destiny to give the ultimate sacrifice of his life for the redemption of mankind and to bring love back into the world through his exemplary lifestyle during his time on earth.”
” Beyond the Merry and exuberance that usually accompany this season, we admonish every Christian faithful to use this opportunity as a sober reflection on the measure of love and sacrifice we have given to the world as the lord Jesus Christ modelled.
”Have you been kind to the poor and needy? Have you been fair and true in your dealings with your fellow man? Have you for the love of others chosen to do the right thing even when its not comfortable? Have you been selfless in your service to humanity? Have you promoted peace and neighbourliness in your relationship with the world around you? Have you lived in obedience to the laws of the land, even when no one is watching? These and many more are the virtues the birth and life of Jesus Christ preaches.
”Love for your neighbor and mankind will be measured in your compliance to the basic guidelines that will advance and give us victory in the war against our common biological enemy, the COVID-19 virus. Keep a secure and crisis free celebration gatherings. Pay visits and take visitors only as necessity demands. I pray that the grace and blessings of the Lord continue to dwell with us all .”
