Yoruba Nation : Alaafin Visits Oluwo, Commends His Tenacity .
The Alaafin of Oyo Empire, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III has recently paid visit to Oluwo of Iwo Empire, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu-I in his palace. Alaafin commended Oluwo’s tenacity and encouraged him to remain steadfast.
“My first 20yrs on the throne was rough and turbulent than that of Oluwo. It is imperative we imbibe the idea of appointing young ones as kings in Yorubaland. Those enthroned at old age don’t fight to enjoy their reign. I commend the courage of Oluwo. He is a true replica of me. Omo o le jo baba, kama binu omo”, Alaafin said.
“Equally, Iwo should have been made the capital of Osun if not for certain political manipulation that happened at that time. Oluwo was never a Baale. It is an ancient crown”, Adeyemi stated .
