Yoruba Youths At 20: Time to Celebrate Role Models and Credible Youths – AWA Bamiji.
President General of Grand Council of Yoruba Youths (Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba), formerly known as National Council of Yoruba Youths, Comrade AWA Bamiji has described ‘Yoruba National Day”, September 23, as the day to celebrate Yoruba role models and credible Yoruba youths.
“The Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba, formerly known as National Council of Yoruba Youths, was inaugurated in October, 2001, with blessings of Prominent Yoruba Sons and Daughters as well as friends of Yoruba from other Regions”, AWA revealed.
AWA Bamiji further stated that, “Every arrangement has now been concluded to celebrate the two decades of its existence as well as Yoruba National Day in grand style with our 10th Yoruba Youth Leadership Summit which will also feature Ijala, Ekun Iyawo, Rara, Ewi, Qiuz, and Dancing Competitions during the 3 separate Interludes.
“The 20 carefully selected Personalities across the States of the Federation have been nominated for our beautifully carved Odu’a (Ori Olokun) Awards.
“The topic of discussion, ‘Osun, Ekiti 2022: Bibori Ipenija a ti mu Idibo yi je Ategun Rere fun Idibo Apapo Odun 2023’ is to be delivered by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Mr Dare Babarinsa, the immediate past Governor of Osun State, who doubles as the Honourable Minister of Interior and Publisher, Gazkia Magazine respectively, under the Chairmanship of Chief Pius Akinyelure, a member of the NNPC Board and Oil Industry Technocrat”, he said.
“Special Guest of Honour is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu while Guests of Honour are the Executive Governors from Yoruba Extraction.
“Father and mother of the day are Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi and Prof (Mrs) Bolanle Awe.
