Yoruba Youths Caution FGN As Oil Price Hits $85 Per Barrel for First Time In Three Years, Disown Proposed “ENDSARS Anniversary”, Congratulate Tajudeen Olusi At 85, Alaafin At 83, Ooni Of Ife At 47, Hail New UI VC.

Grand Council of Yoruba Youths(GCYY) has cautioned Federal Government of Nigeria(FGN) as “Oil Price Hits $85 Per Barrel” for the first time in three years. GCYY disassociated self from proposed “ENDSARS Anniversary” and encouraged fellow Nigerian youths to join hands, to build a better Nigeria, together.

The group, also, congratulated Prince Tajudeen Olusi at 85, Alaafin of Oyo at 83, and Ooni Of Ife at 47.

The youth lauded and hailed the newly appointed Vice Chancellor(VC) of University of Ibadan(UI), Prof Kayode Adeboale and wished him itch- free tenure in office.

This is contained in a press release issued today by the President – General of the Council, Comrade AWA Bamiji which was made available to the journalists in Ibadan.

The full release goes thus;

“It is a thing of joy for us in Nigeria to know that in the midst of various security challenges and ailing economy, for the first time in three years, the price of crude oil hits the highest $85/Barrel.

The interpretation of this means God has listened to our prayers as a vulnerable Nation and the impact of this increased revenue would be most appreciated, if properly managed by the 3 tiers of government.

As Nigeria Police Force(NPF) is seriously warning against staging a protest to commemorate a year anniversary of the #EndSARS Protest, it is logical for the organisers of the planned protest to think of the possibility of unscrupulous elements hijacking it, leading to anarchy as it happened last year’s October across the States of the Federation and we are yet to get over the economic setback, loss of lives and tension experienced by the vountry.

Individual or group has the right to protest but the exercise of this right must be within the ambit of the law and it should not violate the right of other people in the community.

It is time to celebrate our two notable Traditional Rulers in Yorubaland and famous Prince of Lagos, Lagos State, on their Birthday’s Anniversaries.
