You Are Hallucinating – Oyo APC Peace Advocates’ Convener, Niran Adeyoju ‘SDM’, Slams Makinde over ‘Threats to Democracy Comments’
The convener of Oyo APC Peace Advocates, Prince Niran Adeyoju (SDM), has condemned Governor Seyi Makinde for referring to the internal disputes within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a threat to democracy.
Prince Adeyoju described such claims as a hallucination.
Recall, Governor Seyi Makinde, during a media chat on Monday, December 23, 2025, told the press that the former Governor of Rivers State, who was also the Leader of the G-5, had promised to hold the PDP down for President Tinubu.
According to Governor Makinde, he and Wike had, sometime in the past, attended a meeting with President Tinubu with the President’s Chief of Staff also in attendance.
At the meeting, Makinde alleged Nyesom Wike of promising to hold the PDP down to the benefits of the president and his party.
In his allegations, Governor Makinde described this promise by Wike as a threat to democracy.
Responding to Governor Makinde, Prince Adeyoju, in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, described Governor Makinde’s alibi as an afterthought.
According to him, Governor Makinde failed to tell the public exactly the basis and details of the meeting in question.
Adeyoju queried what Makinde and Wike, who were at the time prominent members of the opposition party, were meeting with the president and his chief of staff for. ” Not only that, Makinde did not tell the panel how he reacted to the purported statement credited to Wike at the meeting. Did he take Wike up, or did he just remain silent?
“Why did it take him this long to tell the public what transpired between him, Wike, President Tinubu and his chief of staff?
Prince Adeyoju tasked Governor Makinde to justify the brigandage that was at play in 2021 and 2024 during the local government election conducted by him and explain if the actions of his government at those times didn’t constitute a threat to democracy.
Adeyoju advised Makinde to carry his cross and concentrate on how he would salvage whatever remains of the wreckage of the PDP.
“PDP is in its present state of comatose as a result of greed, indiscipline and arrogance of its leaders, Governor Makinde inclusive,” Adeyoju submitted.
