Your Attack on Hon Akin Alabi Is Baseless – Group Carpets Oyebamiji Sikiru, OMBG

Phonex Emporium, a socio-economic group in Ona-Ara Local Government has urged one Oyebamiji Sikiru to stop creating unnecessary distractions.

In a statement signed by their Chairman, Alfa Tiamiyu Ogidi and Secretary, Pastor Alfred Oyinola, the group pointed out the importance of experienced lawmakers, noting that ranking members in the National Assembly hold influential positions that benefit their constituencies through projects and legislation.

The statement reads:”Our attention has been drawn to a statement by Oyebamiji Sikiru of the group “Oyo Must Be Good” (OMBG), attacking Hon. Akin Alabi for his comments on the benefits of having ranking members in the National Assembly. It is both irrational and ignorant for Sikiru, who seems out of touch with Egbeda/Ona-Ara’s progress, to criticise a well-performing legislator like Hon. Alabi.

Citing examples such as Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, they emphasised how long-serving legislators can secure key projects due to their seniority and experience.

The group highlighted Hon. Alabi’s numerous contributions to the constituency, from infrastructure projects to youth empowerment, and labeled Sikiru’s attack as an irrelevant attempt to gain attention. “Hon. Akin Alabi has delivered on his promises and remains committed to the development of Egbeda/Ona-Ara. We will not be swayed by baseless criticism,” the group emphasised.

Phonex Emporium reaffirmed that having ranking members like Hon. Alabi brings tangible benefits to the constituency, and they stand firmly behind his leadership.
