You’ve Done Well, Sir • Let’s Put Our House Together Ahead of The State Congress – Group Lauds, Calls on Akin Oke.

Oyo State Progressive Parliamentarians has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state, under the watch of Chief Akin Oke to do the needful by putting the house, APC, together ahead of the forthcoming state congress, in other to avoid parallel congresses, as the party witnessed it during the last ward and local government congresses.

The progressive lawmakers also saluted Chief Akin Oke on what they described as his tremendous achievements and immortal legacies as the party state chairman.

This is contained in a press release, respectively signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the group, Hon. Bolomope Ibrahim and Hon. Alli Akinola Sikiru, and which was made available to the newsmen by the PRO, Hon. John Olaleru, yesterday, in Ibadan.

“This Legislative Body, Oyo State Progressive Parliamentarians use this medium to salute our Baba and one of the best progressive state Chairmen in Nigeria, Chief Akin-Oke. Indeed, you have done wonderfully well, sir, and the best way to crown all your efforts are to have a rancour-free state Congress and to hand over to able successor(s).

“Our Father, Chief Akin-Oke! May we humbly suggest, sir, that this is the high time for Oyo APC leadership, under your amiable chairmanship to convey an all inclusive and high-powered stakeholders meeting, among the party’s gladiators, gubernatorial aspirants, party executives, zonal leaders and other bigwigs, to put heads together and chart way forwards for the party, to avoid parallel congresses and to produce harmonious executives capable of continuing from where you stop and dislodging the ruling PDP in the state, come 2023.

“And sir, it is our progressive opinion that it will be good if this can done earlier, even, before the collection of forms. Calling this meeting, rubbing minds together and agreeing on modalities of the Congress will definitely prevent the possible and avoidable crisis, and it will be a giant stride to give the party a unified house”, the group concluded.
