Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly has felicitated with Christians around the globe on the Christmas and new year celebrations.
The lawmaker, in his message made available through his Media Office, congratulated all Christ like followers. He enjoined them to reflect on the reasons for the season, to be modest in celebration and be observant of the Coronavirus rules as stipulated by the National Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) and other relevant authorities.
” Being alive to witness this festive period is enough to appreciate God not minding our targets for the year 2020 that could not be achieved.
” Xmas is the season of love and care so we should reflect on the reason for the season and try to reach out to those in need, no matter how little.
” In the course of celebration, we should be modest and keep government directives to contain and control Coronavirus: The wearing of nose masks, social distancing, washing of hands regularly, use of hand sanitizers, avoidance of crowded areas, amongst other measures to curb the spread of the deadly pandemic which has taken a new dimension in recent times.
” I wish all Christians a funfilled Merry Xmas and a prosperous new year in advance”, the Chairman Senate Commitee on Land Transport stated.
