All Progressives Congress(APC), Oyo State chapter, led by Chief Akin-Oke, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of this year Easter celebration. The party also urged the Christian believers to pray for peace and tranquility in Oyo state, Nigeria and across the world.
This is contained in a press release issued by the party and made available, by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Dr AbdulAzeez Olatunde, to the pressmen today in Ibadan.
“APC Oyo State wishes to congratulate our Christian Brethren for their perseverance during the 40 days and night LENT and the aftermath EASTER festivities which was occasioned by the Crucifixion and RISE of our lord Jesus Christ”, Oyo APC stated.
“Easter celebration is the auspicious occasion to remember the sacrifice made by our lord Christ on the calvary and his unconditional love for mankind.
“Meanwhile, let us remind ourselves that last year, 2020, our Easter celebration were somewhat subdued with COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions, which means that traditional church services were not possible, but today, we are appreciative to the most high Lord that we are able to congregate and worship together, albeit, cautiously”.
