Empowerment: Prince Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí “Jagaban” Commences Capacity Building for Youths, Advocacy Programme for Traditional, Community Leaders in Ìbàdàn North

“Trainings, Empowerment & Advocacy: Hon. Prince Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí (Jagaban) Commences Capacity Building for Youths; Advocacy Programme for Traditional & Community Leaders in Ìbàdàn North”.

Member of the House of Representatives representing Ìbàdàn North Federal Constituency, Honourable(Prince) Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí popularly known as Jagaban has finalized plans to organise three different capacity building programmes for his constituents which are to be done in conjunction with the National Biotechnology Development Agency.

Africano Trumpeters Newspaper reliably gathered that the first of these programmes is focused on agricultural capacity building and empowerment of youths with poultry production, a major focus, while the next is a capacity building and workshop for unskilled youths, which will focus on a variety of vocational trainings.


The third is an advocacy programme for traditional and community leaders, on effective deployment of peace and conflict resolution mechanisms, and all of these are for the good people of lbadan North Federal Constituency.

According to Prince Akinremi Jagaban’s Media Assistant, Mr Micheal Adegbuyi,”These programmes have been scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 10th to Friday, 12th November 2021 at designated locations in Ibadan North. While the capacity building training programmes for youths will take place in two different halls at Sijuade KS Motel, Total Garden Ìbàdàn, the advocacy programme for traditional and community leaders will take place at Emmanuel Alayande Teachers Hall, Samonda Ìbàdàn.

Recalled that in July 2021, Prince Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí “Jagaban” facilitated a two days symposium on the effect of drug abuse for over 2500 students from over 80 secondary schools in Ìbàdànland, where individual students and each school were given educational materials too.

These new set of capacity building programmes further shows Prince Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí Jagaban’s commitment to the overall welfare of his people irrespective of age. From teenagers, to youths and adults, he continues to spread his reach of programmes to cover all age groups.

“Lastly, it is important to note that Hon. Prince Olaide Akínrẹ̀mí (Jagaban) doesn’t only encourage the people of Ìbàdàn North Federal Constituency to embrace entrepreneurship, he also avails them the opportunity to pick up required entrepreneurial skills, while financially supporting them to start up their individual businesses too”, Adegbuyi reveals.
