His name is “Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

Let’s Meet Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

Sharafadeen Abiodun,(born on April 20, 1963), is an astute politician, legal luminary and tribal aristocrat in Ibadan Land; he is the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo South Senatorial District, come 2023.

Early life and education:
Sharafadeen was born 59 years ago into the illustrious Alli family of Oke-Aremo in Ibadan. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has nostalgically reminisced his childhood as an upbringing that was laced with the fabrics of Yoruba Omoluabi ethos, moral trainings, godly words and pro-people mentorship.

The great Alli family of Ibadan has a proven integrity, enviable records of selfless service to humanity, and unalloyed trustworthiness.

The young Abiodun attended Progressive Day School, Alaadorin, Isale-Osi, before proceeding to Anwaru – Islam (Ahmadiyya) Grammar School, Eleyele
Ibadan, in Oyo State, for his secondary school education.

For his A’ Level programme, Alli attended Ilesha Grammar School, Ilesha, in Osun State.

Sharafadeen Abiodun obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Ibadan, Ibadan. He is an Alumni of Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Currently, Alli is running his Masters programme in Law.

Work Experience:
Barr Alli observed mandatory National Youth Service Corps between September 1987 to August 1988, at A.E Enumah & Associates, Barristers & Solicitors in Nnewi, Anambra State.

Professional Bodies:
Barr Sharafadeen Alli is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (FCILG). He is a Fellow, Certified Institute of Auctioneers Nigeria (FCAI) and also a Fellow, Institute of Strategic Management,Nigeria(FSM).

He is an Associate, Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (ACIT), and Associate, Chartered institute of Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS).

Career:

Barr. Alli is a legal luminary and successful business man.

Political Experience:

Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli is the first Elected Executive Chairman, Ibadan North Local Government,Bodija,Ibadan between December 1991 to November 1993; And he was Senator -Elect, Oyo South Senatorial District in April 1998.

Alli was the acting State Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party,Oyo State Chapter between September 1999 to November 1999. He was the pioneer State Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party(Oyo) between September1998 to September 1999.

Abiodun Alli became Secretary to the State Government of Oyo State May 2003. The position he held till May 2005. He was the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Oyo State between May 2005 to May 2007.

The grassroots mobiliser, Barr Alli became
Chairman, Board of Directors, Odu’a Investment Company Limited between November 2011 to April 2014. He was the Oyo-State Deputy Governorship Candidate of
Labour Party of Nigeria, in 2015 and Governorship Candidate of
Zenith Labour Party in 2019.

Committees Served:

Alli had integrously served as Member NRC Legal Committee in1991 and he has served as a Member 8 Man Steering Committee on Feasibility of Establishing Ibadan City Development Corporation in1992. He was a Member UNCP Legal Committee in 1998 and he also served as Secretary UNCP, National Screening Committee for 1998 National Assembly Elections, in Kano State, in 1998.

Alli brilliantly served as Member, National Organizing Committee for the PDP National Convention, held in Abuja, in 1999.

Barr Alli served as the Chairman, Oyo State Government Committee on Eradication of Guinea worm between 2003 to 2007 and he served as Chairman, Oyo State Government Committee on Development of Tertiary Institutions between 2003 to 2007.

Profession:

Barr Sharafadeen Alli was a Counsel at A.E Enumah&Associates.Barristers&Solicitors, in Nnewi, Anambra state between September 1988 to November 1988, and at R.A Sarumi&Co. Solicitors Advocates &NotaryPublic at Adeoye-Bere Road, Agbadagbudu, in Ibadan.

Barr Abiodun Alli is a Principal Partner at Biodun Alli& Co., Barristers,Solicitors &Real Estate Consultants, at Oyo Road, Mokola, Ibadan,Oyo State.

Chieftaincy Titles:

As a tribal aristocrat, Barr Alli has held many chieftaincy titles and he is still holding it. Presently, he is the Maye Balogun of Ibadanland.

Previously, he has bagged Asaju Balogun of Ibadanland in 2016 and
Jagun Balogun of Ibadanland in 2006.
Alli became Mogaji Olofiere  family of Mapo, in Ibadan in 2005 and he had earlier been honoured as Akogun of Ibadanland in 2004.

Hobbies:
Alli’s hobbies are reading , football, table tennis and driving.

As a full blooded Ibadan descendants, Alli speaks his native language, Yoruba very fluently. He is an eloquent speaker of English language. He speaks fluently, and he reads and writes with high proficiency.
