2027: Oyo APC and the Need to Watch Out for ‘250 Saboteurs’ in the State | Sunday O.O John

As a card-carrying member of APC (though not registered in Oyo State because I do not reside there), as a bonafide son of Oyo State who has the love of my state at heart and whose ears are always on the ground to monitor happenings in my beloved state, I have been reliably informed that some disgruntled persons (about 250-300) are already holding behind-the-scenes meetings to decamp from APC for the camp of Omituntun 3.0/APM party of the incumbent governor of the State Governor Seyi Makinde(GSM).
My candid advice to these disgruntled persons is you guys better stay put in APC for your own good and take a lesson from the experience of the 130 councillors who sold out the party for PDP’s Seyi Makinde in 2023 without anything to show for it.
These 130 councillors were offered money for their support, which they (130 councillors) turned down with an understanding that once Governor Seyi Makinde wins his second term, political positions like commissioners and other political appointments will be allotted to them, but as I write this down, I can beat my chest that those councillors have been USED and DUMPED. The majority of them are in the wilderness of political oblivion in Oyo State right now, living in deep regret of their betrayal of the party, the APC, in 2023.

The 2027 election is around the corner; it is time for the APC in my dearest state of Oyo to call all members. The aggrieved need to be persuaded; issues arising from the primaries need to be thoroughly thrashed out. All hands must be on deck in the state to avoid the mistakes of the past eight (8) years.

The about 250 members must not be allowed to jump ship for APM; we all must walk together in the interest of our state and party, APC, for better growth and development.
Long live APC Oyo State.
Long live APC National.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed: Sunday, O.O. John
APC member from
Niger State.
