Dr Abdulfatai Buhari, senator representing the Oyo North Senatorial District, in collaboration with the National Board for Technology Incubation, NBTI, has empowered 150 women and youths with a three-day agripreneurship training and a N100,000 startup grant each.

The capacity-building programme, held from Wednesday, July 1, to Friday, July 3, 2026, at the IPMAN Hall, Isale Taba, Saki, Oyo State, was executed by Hayes Multisystem Investment Limited.
The beneficiaries, drawn from the 13 local government areas of Oyo North, were equipped with practical skills in agribusiness development, product packaging, record-keeping, and market access strategies aimed at making them economically self-reliant.
In his remarks, Senator Buhari urged the participants to maximise the opportunity to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the growth of the district’s agricultural value chain.
“You should also remain steadfast in your support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Pray and work hard for his success in the 2027 elections so his mission of making life better for the masses can be fully implemented,” Senator Buhari said.
The Lead Facilitator, Dr Taofeek Owoseni of Hayes Multisystem Investment Limited, and his team took the participants through the rudiments of small- and medium-scale business development, financial management, and sustainable agribusiness practices.
The lawmaker noted that the training was designed to birth at least 150 new micro-businesses, expand existing ones, and generate indirect jobs across the Oyo North Senatorial District.
At the end of the training, all 150 beneficiaries received certificates of participation under the authority of the National Board for Technology Incubation, alongside the N100,000 grant to kick-start or scale their agribusiness ventures.
