Distinguished Senator Buhari Abdulfatai Omotayo, Ph.D., representing Oyo North Senatorial District, has congratulated veteran broadcaster, Isaac Brown, on receiving the Award of Excellence from City People Magazine, describing the honor as well-deserved recognition for decades of selfless service to media and society.
In a congratulatory message issued today, the senator said the award is a testament to Mr. Brown’s exemplary qualities, in-depth knowledge of broadcasting, and his unwavering commitment to fairness and justice in journalism.
“Isaac Brown is not just a media personality. He is a guru in broadcasting whose voice has shaped public opinion with truth, balance, and integrity. This award by City People Magazine is a recognition not only by man but also one that God Himself has already endorsed,” Senator Buhari stated.
The senator noted that Mr. Brown has, over the years, set a standard that younger media practitioners must emulate, especially in an era where sensationalism often threatens to drown out professionalism. According to him, the awardee’s career reflects the power of media when used as a tool for nation-building rather than division.
