Eid-el-Kabir: Let Us Uphold the Values of Sacrifice, Compassion—Aleshinloye Urges Muslims, Nigerians

The Honourable Commissioner representing Oyo State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, MDII, has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In an Eid-el-Kabir message issued on Tuesday through his media office, Aleshinloye urged Nigerians to continue to promote peace, unity, tolerance and mutual understanding among all citizens, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
According to Aleshinloye, Eid-el-Kabir remains a season that reflects the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion and gratitude as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). “As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, may the spirit of sacrifice, compassion and gratitude continue to guide our daily lives. I pray that Allah showers His endless blessings upon us and our nation.

“I also commend the Muslim Ummah for their steadfast devotion and resilience,” he said. The former ALGON chairman in Oyo State called on the Muslim faithful to use the period of the celebration to rededicate themselves to the ideals of peace, security, friendship and harmonious coexistence as taught by Islam.

Aleshinloye further encouraged Muslims and Nigerians at large to embrace the spirit of empathy, charity and generosity by extending support to the less privileged and showing love to people of other faiths, noting that such acts would strengthen the bonds of unity, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence in the country.
The Deputy National Chairman, NALGON Emeritus, also urged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the nation’s leaders and for sustained peace, progress and socio-economic development of Nigeria.“What Nigeria needs at this critical time is patience, understanding and continued support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enable the government to accelerate meaningful growth and national development,” he stated.
Aleshinloye further stressed the need for all Nigerians to live together in peace and unity, describing national cohesion as a top priority for the country’s advancement.
The APC chieftain also advised citizens to celebrate responsibly, avoid reckless driving and ensure the festival remains peaceful and accident-free. “Happy Eid-el-Kabir to all Muslim faithful. Celebrate in moderation and drive safely,” Aleshinloye submitted.
