In a statement issued today, the notable philanthropist described the start of a new Hijrah year as a time to pause, reflect, show appreciation, and renew one’s commitment to faith and righteous living. He emphasised the importance of sacrifice, peaceful co-existence, and dedicated service to humanity.
Hon. Adedeji noted that the Hijrah event symbolises endurance, optimism, boldness, and reliance on Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to take strength from these lessons as they face personal, communal, and national realities.“The commencement of Hijrah 1448 presents another moment to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for His mercy and blessings. It is also an occasion to recommit to faith, unity, compassion, and selfless service to one another. I therefore encourage the Muslim Ummah to continue praying for peace, safety, development, and prosperity across Oyo State and Nigeria at large.”

The APC leader also called on Nigerians to remain committed to fostering understanding and goodwill among people of different religions and backgrounds, stressing that collective efforts are vital to achieving lasting peace and sustainable progress.
