IBADAN NORTH: Wale Sanusi’s Allies, Bayo Adelabu’s Supporters Deny Defection Rumours, Reaffirm Loyalty to APC Ahead of 2027

All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, including supporters of Chief Bayo Adelabu and allies of Alhaji Wale Sanusi of Ibadan North Local Government, have dismissed reports alleging that they have defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
In a public service announcement, the politicians reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and urged party officials at ward, local government, and state levels to ignore any claims suggesting they have abandoned the party.
The politicians stated that they remain aligned with APC leadership and candidates, adding that they support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, and the party’s candidates for the National Assembly as well as the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The stakeholders insisted there has never been any intention to decamp from the APC to the APM, describing the defection rumours as baseless and inconsistent with their current political stance.

The politicians called on APC members, supporters, and the wider public to disregard the allegation while assuring party leadership of their continued loyalty, support, and readiness to contribute to the party’s success in future elections.
The announcement was jointly endorsed by:
- Alhaji Abiodun Ismail, popularly known as Ajetunmobi, former APC Local Government party secretary;
- Hon. Tiri Saka, former Ibadan North councillor.
- Hon. Rasheed Abimbola.
- Hon. Popoola.
- Hon. Aliu Adisa
- Hon. Temidayo Ogunsakin
- Mrs Abiodun Afolasade.
- Mr Taiwo/Kehinde Lawoore.
