Oorelope LG Appreciates Senator Alli, Guber Candidate’s Running Mate, Other Chieftains for “Historic Consultation Tour” to Local Govt

The All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign manager for Oorelope Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Yisau Adesope Azeez, has thanked the party’s Oyo State governorship candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, his running mate, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji, and other party leaders for their consultation and support tour of the local government.

In a statement, Barr Azeez said the delegation visited Oorelope on Friday, October 23, 2026. He hinted the visit brought together traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, party officials, members and residents for discussions on issues affecting the area.

The delegation included Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Ogunesan, the APC candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District; Hon. Bosun Oladele, the party’s candidate for the Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency; and Hon. Jimoh Lukman, known as Omo-bed, the party’s candidate for the Oorelope State Constituency.

The tour was coordinated by Chief Yemi Aderibigbe, PhD, director-general of the Oyo APC Campaign Council, and his team.

Azeez appreciated the delegation’s engagement with traditional, religious and community leaders, as well as artisans and party members. “This is great. The stakeholders had the opportunity to present their concerns and requests,” said Azeez while describing the meeting as a forum for dialogue about Oorelope’s welfare and development.

Azeez also thanked the deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Adedeji, and other members of the entourage for their participation and commended local leaders, party members and residents for their cooperation and hospitality.

According to Azeez, Oorelope residents had pledged to support the APC and its candidates in the coming elections. He also revealed that the community’s collective resolve was to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Azeez, who issued the statement on behalf of APC leaders and members in Oorelope, the local government campaign team and Hon. Samuel Okunlade, the Okeogun II APC campaign coordinator, commended all the party faithful who made the consultation tour historic.
