Honourable Kola Akande, a former Council Vice Chairman of Ibadan Southeast Local Government and a former 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated a vehicle and campaign posters to support the campaign activities of the APC governorship candidate of the party in Oyo State, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, ahead of the 2027 election.

The items, which were presented to the governorship candidate, are expected to strengthen the logistics and outreach capacity of the party in the weeks and months leading to the election.

Akande, the former Secretary to Local Government of Ibadan Southeast at Mapo in Ibadan when Senator Alli was the Secretary to the State Government in the state, in making the donation, emphasised his belief in the need for credible leadership, which Alli symbolises, and sustained engagement with party stakeholders and citizens across communities in the state.

Receiving the support, Barr. Alli expressed appreciation to Akande, the CEO of Rosewood Royal Suite Hotel at Yemetu in Ibadan, for the gesture and for contributing resources to the campaign’s operational effectiveness.

Alli noted that the support would contribute to the campaign mobilisation efforts of volunteers, engage grassroots communities, and intensify promotional activities in preparation for the election.

Alli also reiterated his commitment to inclusive and participatory governance, stating that his political project is designed to reflect the aspirations of different groups within the state. He said the campaign is not only about winning elections, but also about building a government that listens, collaborates, and delivers on promises to the people of the State.

Speaking further, Alli described the donation as a morale boost for party loyalists and campaign agents working across various wards and local government areas. He said such contributions demonstrate continued interest and confidence in his candidacy within the APC structure and among key stakeholders.

As the 2027 election approaches, the donation by Akande signals ongoing mobilisation within the APC, with supporters rallying behind the governorship candidate, Barr. Alli.
