Oyo Central: Senator Yunus Akintunde’s 100th Solar-Powered Borehole Set to Be Completed This Weekend (VIDEO)

Dr Yunus Akintunde, the senator representing the Oyo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has announced that the 100th solar-powered borehole out of 124 promised will be completed this weekend, marking a major milestone in his constituency water-access project.

In a statement issued with the theme of leadership and accountability,quoting leadership scholar Warren Bennis, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. And it starts with keeping your word.” Senator Akintunde said the boreholes are intended to serve communities across the district and support the welfare of residents.

The lawmaker explained that, to date, the project has reached the 100 boreholes mark, with distribution covering the 118 wards he represents, describing the achievement as coming “to the glory of God Almighty” and for the benefit of the people.
Key borehole locations, as stated, and specific sites where boreholes are located include Ward 2 (Adaralode Iyalamu Community), Atiba Local Government Area; Ward 5 (Kanga Meta Area, Oyagbe Community), Atiba Local Government Area; Ward 4 (Apologun Village), Atiba Local Government Area; and Ward 6 (Alh Waliu Balogun Street, Old Cele), Oyo West Local Government Area.
