Oyo South 2027: Step-By-Step Political Evangelists Pay Visit, Reaffirm Commitment to Engr Remi Oseni’s Senatorial Bid
The Step-by-Step Political Evangelists, a well-structured, women-led grassroots political group, paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Remi Oseni, the APC’s Oyo South Senatorial candidate, on Sunday, 25 October 2026, reaffirming its commitment to his senatorial bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the meeting, members of the group reiterated their readiness to sustain and intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of Engr. Oseni’s aspiration, taking his message directly to the people, ward by ward and community by community, across Oyo South Senatorial District.
In her address, Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, State Coordinator of the Step-by-Step Political Evangelists, disclosed that the group has 99 coordinators across the 99 wards of Oyo South Senatorial District. She noted that this extensive grassroots network provides the group with a structure for engaging communities and strengthening mobilisation across the district ahead of the 2027 elections.
Farmer Omolara also disclosed that the group is targeting an average of 50,000 votes for Engr. Remi Oseni in the 2027 senatorial election, underscoring its commitment to expanding grassroots engagement and support across Oyo South Senatorial District.
She further announced that the group’s ward tours would commence on Monday, 26 October 2026, with members reaching out to communities across the district to take Engr. Oseni’s message directly to the people and strengthen grassroots engagement ahead of the elections.
In his remarks, Engr. Remi Oseni commended Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, the State Executive Committee of the Step-by-Step Political Evangelists, and all ward executives for their dedication and continued efforts towards grassroots mobilisation.
Oseni described Farmer Omolara as a charismatic leader with strong leadership skills and commended her strategic approach to grassroots mobilisation. He also described her as someone with great potential within the Oyo State APC.
Engr. Oseni further described the Step-by-Step Political Evangelists as a well-structured group with good leadership, expressing confidence that its organisation and grassroots mobilisation efforts would yield positive results ahead of the 2027 elections.
Oseni charged members of the group to remain focused on Oyo South Senatorial District and intensify their grassroots engagement ahead of the elections. He also acknowledged the group’s role in mobilising support for his senatorial bid.
The courtesy visit further underscored the group’s continued commitment to Engr. Oseni’s ambition, with the planned ward tours expected to extend its grassroots engagement to communities across Oyo South Senatorial District, ward by ward and community by community, ahead of the 2027 elections.
