Oyo South: Step-by-Step Political Evangelists Hold General Meeting As Mobilisers Swear-In Coordinators for Nine LGAs (PHOTOS)
Step-by-Step Political Evangelists held their general meeting on Monday, 19 October 2026, at the Friends of Remi Oseni Office, Agbadagbudu, Ibadan, where coordinators for the nine local government areas in Oyo South Senatorial District were inaugurated and sworn in.
As the All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to strengthen its political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections, strategic collaboration, effective mobilisation, inclusive leadership and people-oriented engagement remain important to expanding its reach.
Step-by-Step Political Evangelists provides a platform for strengthening the party’s political network through coordinated engagement and increased participation of women in mobilisation activities. Supporting the APC’s Oyo South Senatorial candidate, Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the group seeks to promote sustained community-to-community and neighbour-to-neighbour engagement across the district.
Speaking at the meeting, the Coordinator of Step-by-Step Political Evangelists, Hon. Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, said the group aims to canvass support for Engr. Aderemi Oseni for Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli for Governor of Oyo State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all APC candidates in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Busari Svensson emphasised the importance of commitment, teamwork and sustained engagement with the electorate in advancing the group’s objectives and expanding its reach across the district.
The coordinators and members were charged with the responsibility of taking the political evangelism of Engr. Aderemi Oseni, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli and all APC candidates directly to the electorate. They are expected to raise political awareness, engage communities and canvass votes for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration and swearing-in of coordinators across the nine local government areas of Oyo South Senatorial District are expected to strengthen the group’s organisational structure and improve coordination. With members across Oyo State, Step-by-Step Political Evangelists also seeks to extend its political awareness campaigns and community engagement to all 33 local government areas ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dignitaries present at the meeting included Alhaja Asabi Olajide Adijat, APC Women Leader in Ibadan North-East and former Oyo Central Senatorial District Women Leader; Alhaja Adeyinka Adeleke; Mrs. Felicia Adesonoye, APC Women Leader in Ibadan North-West; and other party members and stakeholders.
