Pacesetter Peace Team Welcomes Yilwatda to Oyo State, Salutes APC Nat’l Chairman’s Peace-Building Efforts

The leadership of the Pacesetter Peace Team (PPT) under the chairmanship of Barrister Ademola Adeniji has welcomed Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Oyo State.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the PPT and former PRO of the progressive party in the state, Hon. Dauda Kolawole, the movement described the APC chairman as a peace-loving leader whose commitment to party unity and progress has, according to the group, continued to strengthen the party as it advances the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The group maintained it was confident that Yilwatda’s leadership skills, courage, carriage, charisma, experience, integrity, and “innovative spirit” would further deepen internal cohesion within the APC, strengthen grassroots structures, and improve organisational effectiveness ahead of 2027 general elections.
PPT noted that the ongoing visit is an opportunity to build a stronger collaboration among party bigwigs and stakeholders in the state.

The group extended a “warm welcome” to the national chairman and wished him a fruitful and memorable stay in the pacesetter state.
PPT urged unity among the leaders and members of Oyo APC while canvassing support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, Senator Sharafadeen Alli as governor and other APC standardbearers.
Yesterday, August 19, the National Chairman of APC arrived Oyo State, and he was received at Alakia Airport in Ibadan by the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and other party stakeholders.
Today, Thursday, 20 August 2026, the national party chairman will officially commission the campaign office of the party’s governorship candidate in Ibadan.
