The family, friends and political associates have mourned the death of Prof. Isiaka Kolawole, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former Deputy Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Among the party bigwigs who attended the burial of Prof. Kolawole, which was held in Abuja today, were Senator Teslim Folarin, Senator Fatai Buhari, Hon. Bimbo Kolade, Engr. Idris Adeoye, Hon. Sakiru Fajimi and others.

Prof. Kolawole’s Janazah prayer was conducted at 1:20 p.m. at National Mosque, Abuja

Prof. Kolawole’s remains were laid to rest at the Muslim burial ground at the Gudu area in Abuja.

The management and staff members of UBEC, where Prof. Kolawole had previously worked, were also in attendance.

Prayer was offered for Prof. Kolawole’s immediate family, the aged mother and others he left behind.
