PHOTOS: Oyo APC Youth Leader,”GLORY”, Honours Alao-Akala at Late Governor’s Posthumous Remembrance in Ogbomoso

Members of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress, APC, recently paid tribute to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, during a posthumous remembrance ceremony held in Ogbomoso.
The state party delegation which was conspicuously included the Oyo APC Youth Leader, Hon. Olalekan Glory, alongside other members of the Oyo APC State Executive Council, led by the Party Chairman, Otunba Moses Alake-Adeyemo, Ph.D. The party chieftains joined family members, friends, political associates and party faithful to honour the memory of the former governor.
Speaking at the event, the Hon. Olalekan Glory described late Gov. Alao-Akala as a grassroots leader whose governance style brought development closer to the people. He noted his commitment to extending infrastructure and social programmes across communities in Oyo State during his tenure.
“Our late leader, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala is widely remembered as a leader who maintained a strong connection with the people,” Hon. Glory said. “His contributions to the political development of Oyo State and his people-first approach to governance are legacies we in APC continue to uphold.”

The remembrance brought together party stakeholders who recalled the late governor’s role in strengthening APC structures in Oyo and his impact on youth and community development.
Family members expressed appreciation to the party for identifying with them, describing the gesture as a demonstration of unity and continuity within the APC family in the state.
Otunba Alao-Akala, who governed Oyo State between 2007 and 2011, is politically celebrated for his accessibility, rural development focus, and contributions to stabilising politics in the state.
