In the heart of Ibadan Land, the spirit of Ramadan shines brightly as Oloye Ajibola Isiaka Adegoroye Salawu-Areokuta, the revered Mogaji of the Ogidi-Areokuta Compound, extended his annual tradition of generosity to the community for the 16th consecutive year. With unwavering dedication, Mogaji Areokuta has once again demonstrated his commitment to support others during this sacred time of reflection and giving.

In a remarkable display of compassion, Mogaji Areokuta orchestrated the distribution of essential provisions, ensuring that no one in need was left unaided. The cornerstone of his initiative was the provision of free cooking gas, a precious resource that alleviates the burden of meal preparation for countless families. With meticulous planning, Mogaji Areokuta distributed a staggering 2 tonnes of gas, equivalent to 2,000 kilogrammes, benefiting 2,000 individuals across the community. Each recipient received a vital kilogramme of gas, ensuring that households could prepare their meals with ease throughout the month of Ramadan.

The impact of Mogaji Areokuta’s benevolent gestures transcends the boundaries of his own compound, reaching far and wide to neighbouring areas within the Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State. Communities including Ojagbo, Alafara, Aremo, Kosodo, Labo, Beyeirunka, Ode-Aje, Labiran, Olugbode, Ogbori-Efon, and Orita-Aperin were enveloped in the spirit of generosity as individuals received the invaluable support they needed during this sacred season.

In addition to the distribution of cooking gas, Mogaji Areokuta extended a lifeline to 650 individuals by providing them with foodstuffs (rice). These provisions, carefully selected to meet the dietary needs of Ramadan observers, served as a vital source of sustenance for families during the month.

Reflecting on the significance of his annual welfare initiative, Chief Areokuta expressed profound gratitude to the Almighty and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the community. As a former youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Chief Areokuta is no stranger to leadership and compassion. His dedication to the welfare of others is a testament to his enduring spirit of service and his steadfast belief in the power of communal solidarity.

“Alhamdulilai Robili Alamin,” Chief Areokuta remarked, his voice brimming with gratitude. “I am immensely pleased to witness the success of the 16th edition of our Ramadan Welfare Supports. This achievement is a testament to the grace of God. As I look upon the faces of those we have supported, my heart swells with joy. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, and I pledge to continue my efforts in service of our community. Sukran Lilahi Wahdan; Glory be to God only.” He submitted.
