Your Sterling Virtues Are Tested Blueprints for Excellent Leadership – Sen Yunus Akintunde Extols APC Nat’l Secretary, Dr Ajibola Bashiru

In a milestone and uncommon recognition of professional contributions in our society, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Garki Branch (Liberty Bar), Abuja, has set the pace for celebrating exceptional individuals, especially while they are still alive, beyond the usual naming of facilities and edifices after them when they have passed on. 

On this basis, the NBA, Garki Branch (Liberty Bar) Abuja, has recognised the achievements of a notable Nigerian, Senator (Dr.) Bashiru Ajibola, APC National Secretary, honouring him with the unveiling launch of the second edition of Liberty Journal, the official Journal of the Bar Branch, in recognition of his sterling qualities and exemplary leadership in nation-building.

Dr. Yunus Akintunde, the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, who attended the event with other dignitaries from all over the country, was full of praise, extolling the leadership virtues of the great man, Senator Dr. Bashiru Ajibola.

In his words during the event held at the Banquet Hall of the NBA National Secretariat, Abuja, Dr. Yunus Akintunde described Senator Bashiru Ajibola as quite deserving and worthy of the recognition bestowed on him with his sterling qualities and excellent leadership capacity, while recalling his various contributions to legal practice and national interests in several capacities.

“Leadership, though, can be attained through training, and a few individuals are naturally born as leaders. You can then imagine an individual endowed with a natural capacity for leadership and also seamlessly having a rich academic and corporate exposure to leadership. That captures the personality of Dr. Bashiru Ajibola, whom we are celebrating today.

“I have keenly watched you and always marvelled at your capacity to combine several fronts of rigorous academic engagements, capping it with a doctoral degree, with enviable strides in legal practice, and then as an icon and a leading politician who once served as a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and now as the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). No doubt, Senator Bashiru Ajibola, you are indeed an example of an achiever with a midas touch, a thoroughbred professional, and a gentleman worthy of emulation. A living blueprint of leadership per excellence”.

“His contributions to the stability of the All Progressives Congress, Nigeria’s ruling party and now the largest political party in Africa, will always be a reference point as events unfolded during the trying periods of our party when he came on board as the National Secretary.
