2027: Any Aspirant Afraid of Primaries Cannot Win General Elections – Senator Buhari Tells Oyo APC

A leading aspirant for the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial ticket, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, has declared his readiness to go into primaries with other aspirants in the atmosphere that is expected to be peaceful, free, fair and credible.
Senator Buhari made this declaration in his meeting with the executive of APC, led by His Excellency, Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo, at the permanent party secretariat, Oke Ado, in Ibadan.

According to the aspirant, the leadership of the party knows and considers him for the position he is occupying today as a result of his appreciative principles, competence and credibility good enough to record a free and fair primary of the party in Oyo State.

Senator Buhari, who identified himself as one of the best three aspirants out of a total of 10 screened by the committee for the position of governor of Oyo State, said that any aspirant who is afraid of going into primaries with others is not competent to be the flag bearer of APC because the candidature of such a person can not give the party the deserved victory in the general elections.
Senator Buhari hinted that he has all that is required to rule the state and serve the entire people there as a good ambassador of the APC whom the leaders, executive and members of the party will be proud of at all times.
Senator Buhari, who is currently representing Oyo North in the 10th Assembly, pledged to illuminate the party secretariat with solar-powered lights and also a set of computer systems for adequate running of the party secretariat.
The aspirant also donated a sum of five million naira to the purse of the party in the state while he gave another two million naira to all the party executive members.
In his response, the chairman of the party, Chief Adeyemo, who identified himself as a constituent of Senator Buhari from Oyo North, thanked the aspirant for all the developments he had brought to the district, particularly Oke Ogun.
Chief Alake appreciated Senator Buhari for all that he had done and all that he pledged to do for APC in Oyo State while praying that he shall not labour in vain.
The meeting had in attendance a mammoth crowd of supporters and loyalists of Senator Buhari from the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
