Oyo South 2027: Ajimobi Visits Ibadan Southeast APC Meeting, Vows To Sustain Family’s Legacy of Pro-people Leadership

Chief Wasiu Ajimobi on Monday paid a visit to the Ibadan Southeast APC stakeholders at a local party meeting, vowing to continue the legacy of service associated with the Ajimobi family and promising to push policies that benefit people at the grassroots.

In remarks after the meeting, Ajimobi described the Ajimobi name as “synonymous with service, transformation, and the ‘Koseleri’ spirit of excellence”, stating that he was stepping forward “to serve you at the federal level”.

He said he was contesting for the first Senate seat representing the Oyo South Senatorial District, adding that the district needed a representative who understands both governance at the federal level and the “heartbeat of the grassroots”.

“I stand before you today not just as a son of the soil, but as a man driven by a profound sense of duty,” Ajimobi said, outlining his intention to “bridge the gap between our local needs and federal policies”.

Ajimobi also expressed confidence that with continued support from stakeholders, peace and development could be sustained across the senatorial district, ensuring that constituents can “thrive”.

APC Leaders Hail Ajimobi’s Presence

The Ibadan Southeast Party Chairman, Hon. Asanke, welcomed Ajimobi at the meeting, describing his presence as an honour to the local party structure.

Hon. Asanke noted that Ajimobi’s visit strengthened the grassroots movement and commended the wisdom shared during the engagement, adding that the aspirant’s dedication would continue to support the progress of both the APC and the constituency at large.

“Our meeting today is to welcome you, Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, to our local government meeting and your own aboriginal local government,” Asanke said. “Your presence underscores the importance of our grassroots movement and strengthens our collective resolve.”
