2027: Oyo North APC Senatorial Candidate, Ogunesan Receives Certificate of Nomination
Chief (Mrs) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, the Oyo North Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside other candidates of the party, has received her certificate of nomination at the APC State Secretariat.
While receiving the certificate, Ogunesan expressed her profound appreciation to the leadership and entire members of the party for the confidence reposed in her and for the opportunity to serve as the party’s standard-bearer for the Oyo North Senatorial District.
Ogunesan reaffirmed her commitment to putting the party first at all times, stressing that the collective interest and success of the APC remain her top priority. She also assured the party of her determination to work tirelessly towards victory for the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
According to Ogunesan, all hands must remain on deck, as the journey towards electoral success requires unity, commitment, sacrifice and sustained mobilisation. She noted that the momentum must be maintained until victory is achieved.
Ogunesan further pledged that she would not relent in her advocacy, engagement and mobilisation across Oyo North, particularly in taking the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the grassroots.
Ogunesan expressed optimism that with collective support and sustained commitment, the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to bring meaningful development and renewed opportunities to Nigerians.
The APC candidate also commended the party leadership for recognising and appreciating the immense contributions of women to the growth and development of the party. She described the recognition as a significant step towards encouraging greater participation and representation of women in political leadership.
Ogunesan equally appreciated the overwhelming support and goodwill she received from party leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters following her nomination, describing the support as both encouraging and motivating.
She called on all party members, supporters and stakeholders across Oyo North to remain united and focused, urging them to put aside individual differences and work together for the collective success of the party.
Ogunesan assured the people of Oyo North that, when elected, she would make effective representation, inclusive development and the interests of her constituents the cornerstone of her mandate.
Ogunesan maintained that the certificate is not merely a symbol of nomination but a call to greater responsibility, service and commitment. She promised to justify the confidence placed in her by the party through hard work, accessibility, purposeful representation and unwavering dedication.
Ogunesan thanked the party leadership once again for the confidence reposed in her and promised to carry the mandate with humility, courage and a strong sense of responsibility.
With the 2027 elections approaching, Ogunesan called on APC faithful across Oyo North to remain steadfast, strengthen their mobilisation structures and continue working together, expressing confidence that the party will emerge victorious at all levels.
