ANNOUNCEMENT: Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi’s Fidau Prayer Holds on Sunday, July 5, in Ibadan

The family of Abdul-Ganiy Ajimobi of Ojaaba in Ibadan has a announced Sunday, July 5, 2026 as the day for Fidau prayer for Alhaji Teslim Adeboye Ajimobi, an illustrious son of the family who died in London on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Mogaji of Ajimobi Compound and the Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Chief Wasiu Adegboyega Ajimobi, the family stated that the Fidau Programme will begin at 12 noon on Sunday, at a venue behind Professor Peller’s House, Bodija, Ibadan.

During his life time, Teslim Ajimobi served as Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan South-East Local Government Area in 2017.
Beyond public service, the late Teslim Ajimobi was known for his corporate and business interests both within and outside Nigeria. He held directorship roles in UK-based companies, including Teslis Global Services Ltd.
In tributes, associates described Teslim Ajimobi as a private, business-minded individual who preferred to stay away from the limelight, while remaining closely connected to his family’s political circle. The people also recalled that his tenure in local government was marked by grassroots engagement, pro-people services which his family values project and loyalty to the progressive cause.
