Barr Opeyemi Tijani ‘BoT’ Welcomes Leaders, Delegates to 8th APC Nat’l Convention, Urges Peaceful, Successful Exercise, Assures Tinubu’s Re-election
As leaders, stakeholders, delegates, notable dignitaries, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gather for the highly anticipated 8th APC National Convention, Barrister Opeyemi Tijani (BOT), an Ibarapa-born stalwart of the party in Oyo State and a leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, has extended a warm welcome to all party faithful.
With over 8,453 delegates from across the nation converging in Abuja for the landmark convention, Barrister Tijani described the event as a historic moment that will shape the party’s trajectory, with the affirmation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy for the 2027 general elections and other key party decisions taking centre stage.
In a statement issued through BOT media team, Barr. Tijani commended the National Working Committee (NWC) and the Convention Planning Committee for their meticulous preparation, which has ensured a seamless and transparent process.
“This convention is more than just a gathering; it is a testament to the strength, unity, and democratic maturity of our great party,” Barrister Tijani stated. “I warmly welcome all our leaders, delegates, and stakeholders to this historic occasion. He urged all participants to conduct themselves with decorum, emphasising the importance of a peaceful and successful exercise that reflects the will of the party members.
“As we affirm our candidate for the 2027 presidential election, I want to assure Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election is not just a possibility but a certainty,” he added. “The Renewed Hope Agenda has brought tangible transformation to our nation, and Nigerians are eager to see the continuation of this visionary leadership.”
Barr. Tijani also expressed confidence that the convention would produce a strong, united leadership capable of steering the party toward greater electoral victories at all levels.
Tijani further called on all delegates to remain focused on the collective goal of strengthening the party and ensuring that the decisions reached at the convention reflect the aspirations of the APC membership nationwide.
“As we go into this convention, let us be guided by the spirit of unity, purpose, and shared vision. The eyes of the nation are upon us, and I have no doubt that we will once again demonstrate why the APC remains Nigeria’s foremost political party,” he concluded.
