BSA 2027: Ali and Constructive Governance | Alhaji Idris Ismail Idris
Oyo state has been a state with a place in history of constructive precedential developments .
Recall that the most ambitious education initiative in sub Sahara Africa was incubated and hatched in Ibadan, the current capital of Oyo state. That is free universal primary education. The first and still the best university in Nigeria started here. (Coincidentally, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli and my humble self are products of University of Ibadan that produce nothing but quality).
The first Television station opened here. The liberty stadium, the public library and youth development programs initiated here. The agro-development plan that produced regional fortune from cocoa and other products. The evidence is, that, still standing, Cocoa house in Dugbe and the relics at Fashola. It is interesting to note that the Federal Republic of Nigeria got some templates for her National development plan from the initiatives of Western region head quartered in Ibadan.
A discerning mind going through Oyo state at present and tallying that with the giants and ambitious strides of the Western Regional Government will agree with me that the succeeding state governments, particularly in Oyo state has not exerted similar and expected energy in development initiatives and we are not currently in the right place especially in infrastructure, education, security agriculture and other index of development.
2027 is another decisive journey to a new and greater Oyo state. We have offered to the good people of Oyo state a personality, undoubtedly experienced, passionate for growth, sufficiently educated, development-driven and people-oriented in person of distinguished Senator Sharafadeen Ali as Guber Candidate under APC to pilot the leadership and governance of Oyo state in 2027 and beyond .
BSA is a symbology of grassroot development hence gunning for Local Autonomy and again as former chairman of the largest local government in the state capital. This is a bold attempt to tackle poverty and underdevelopment for the root.
BSA is an advocate of quality education and currently offering manageable class size and better school infrastructure just like he believed in quality health delivery. He has linked better health care to productive citizenship.
BSA experience as chairman senate committee on agriculture is a big plus for agriculture development plan for Oyo. Infact, he domesticated his passion for agriculture such that in his house, he rears goat and chicken. This is a pointer to a coming policy on family-based agro initiative.
BSA is bringing his experience managing conglomerate of Odua group of companies to boosting the economy of Oyo state. The small and big contributors will have a space to thrive under Sharafadeen Alli government.
BSA understood the role of workers in the system and ready to ensure better welfare for the workers and care for the pensioners. Wait for ALLI WORKERS AND PENSIONERS PLAN.
BSA is passionate about secured nation and a safe state. He was a contributor to the state Police Bill and in better position to ensure better policing and security of Oyo state .
BSA is not a theorist or experimentalist and Oyo State is not a laboratory. He is ready to offer practical leadership driven by passion for growth and constructive development, quality education , security of lives and property and greater Oyo state .
BSA is the privileged vehicle to convey goodies for citizens and greatness for the state.’E wa w’ọkọ ayo’.
