Democracy Day: RTIFN Coordinator, Adeyemo, Hails President Tinubu, Calls for Equity, Inclusion, Unity in Oyo APC Ahead of 2027

As Nigerians mark Democracy Day, Hon. Monsuru Akintunde Adeyemo (Socrates), the Coordinator of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Oyo State chapter has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his unprecedented achievement as Nigeria’s helmsman and urged leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued to mark the day, Hon. Adeyemo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Forum of Former Council Vice Chairmen in Oyo State, also known as G-68, said Democracy Day offers Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on the country’s “long and eventful journey” and called for renewed commitment to the collective rebuilding of Nigeria.

Adeyemo, the secretary/spokesperson for the Media & Publicity Committee for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency 2025 by-elections’ Campaign Council emphasised that the Renewed Hope agenda represents “another opportunity for collective national rebirth,” adding that building a stronger and more inclusive nation is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of every citizen, not government alone.

Adeyemo, the pioneer vice chairman of the Aare Latosa Local Council in the state, also commended Tinubu’s “visionary leadership” and the Renewed Hope agenda he said is focused on “fixing Nigeria,” while expressing appreciation to APC leaders and party faithful across Oyo State and urging the chieftains to remain committed to the victory of the party come 2027, more than ever before.

“As a steadfast believer in party leadership and supremacy, I urge all loyal members of our party to unite in congratulating and supporting every Oyo APC standard-bearer ahead of the 2027 elections, so we can secure victory together.

“As a democrat and pro-people advocate, I also call on our leaders to pursue win-win outcomes where no one is defeated and no one is left behind. This can only be achieved through mutually beneficial, inclusive arrangements that prioritise equity. Accordingly, as committed stalwarts of the party are considered for elective positions, others should also be fairly placed into appointive roles and other relevant forms of empowerment to serve Nigerian people and humanity in general”, Adeyemo emphasised.

Adeyemo urged APC stakeholders in the state, regardless of differences in views, interests or “tendencies”, to see themselves as one body ahead of the next electoral contest.

With the 2027 polls approaching, Adeyemo called on party members to “come together and remain united more than ever before,” asserting that “the people united can never be defeated” while reiterating a statement of confidence that victory would come “by God’s grace and unity of purpose.
