Ogbomoso–Oko–Ilobu Road: This Is a Historic Milestone for Our Zone – Hon Olusegun Odebunmi ‘Bunvic’

Honourable Olusegun Odebunmi (Bunvic), a former member of the House of Representatives and presently the APC candidate for the Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, has described the approval by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for the reconstruction of the Ogbomoso–Oko–Ilobu Road, the Idi Araba–Ayede–Oloo Road in Ogbomoso and the dualisation of the Ilorin-Ogbomoso Road as a historic milestone for the people of the Ogbomoso Zone.
According to Hon. Odebunmi, “This is the first time the Ogbomoso zone will witness road reconstruction of such magnitude by the federal government.” He described it as a landmark development that will transform the economic and social fortunes of the region.
Odebunmi noted that the approval clearly demonstrates the commitment of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to delivering impactful infrastructure projects that improve connectivity, stimulate commerce, promote agriculture, and enhance the quality of life of Nigerians.

Hon. Odebunmi expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to equitable development across the country. He stated that the approval of these strategic roads is a practical demonstration of the gains from the fuel subsidy removal and the effect of Nigeria’s tax reform championed by Hon. Zach Adedejiare being redirected into critical infrastructure that directly benefits the masses.

According to Bunvic, the reconstruction of the Ogbomoso–Oko–Ilobu Road, the Idi Araba–Ayede–Oloo Road and the Ilorin–Ogbomoso dualisation will significantly improve transportation, ease the movement of agricultural produce, expand market access, encourage investment and strengthen commercial activities across the Ogbomoso zone and adjoining communities.
Hon. Odebunmi called on the people of the Ogbomoso zone and the entire Oyo State to continue supporting the administration of President Tinubu. He expressed confidence that sustained collaboration and effective representation would attract more developmental projects to the region.
Bunvic reaffirmed that the approval of these roads marks the beginning of a new era of infrastructural renewal for Ogbomoso Zone and stands as a testament to the federal government’s resolve to ensure that every part of the country enjoys the dividends of democracy.
