Oyo 2027: Agbaakin Niyi Adeagbo Congratulates Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, Commends Senator Alli over Grassroots Politician’s Appointment as Campaign DG

Agbaakin Niyi Adeagbo has congratulated Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe on his appointment as Director-General of the campaign council for the forthcoming Oyo 2027 political race.

In a statement released to mark the development, Adeagbo said one of the greatest marks of leadership is the ability to identify the right persons for specific responsibilities, emphasising that effective leadership depends on placing “round pegs in round holes.”

Adeagbo described Aderibigbe’s appointment as a clear sign of foresight and strategic thinking, adding that it reflects confidence in competence, character, and proven capacity.

“One of the greatest hallmarks of a leader with vision and capacity is the ability to identify the right people for the right responsibilities. As the saying goes, round pegs must be placed in round holes. That is one of the defining qualities of Distinguished Senator Sarafadeen Alli’s leadership.

The appointment of Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe as the Director-General of the campaign council is a clear demonstration of foresight, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of what is required to build a united, disciplined, and victorious political structure. It reflects a leadership that recognises competence, rewards character, and values proven capacity.

I have known Asiwaju Aderibigbe for many years, dating back to my childhood in our old neighbourhood of Bibilari, Idi-Ape. As a young lad then, we look up to him because of his exceptional humility,, his character, discipline, and commitment to excellence, Egbon distinguished himself from others. He served as a role model to many of us, and those admirable qualities have continued to form the solid foundation upon which his impressive political profile has been built.

Throughout the years and in every opportunity I have had to interact with him, I have found him to be a man of exceptional capacity, unquestionable integrity, sound judgment, and unwavering commitment to service. He possesses the leadership qualities, administrative competence, and people management skills required to coordinate a successful campaign and inspire confidence across all stakeholders.

I therefore warmly congratulate my Egbon, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, on this well-deserved appointment. I equally commend Distinguished Senator Sarafadeen Alli for this thoughtful and strategic decision, which further reinforces confidence in his leadership and his commitment to surrounding himself with capable and credible individuals.
