PHOTOS: Every party faithful is valued, no one will be sidelined – Alake-Adeyemo reaffirms as Oyo APC Chairman hosts ‘Pacesetter Peace Team’

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring that every party faithful is carried along, stressing that no aspirant or loyalist would be sidelined in the build-up to the APC’s quest to reclaim the Agodi Government House in 2027.
The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Alake-Adeyemo stated this on Friday in Ibadan while playing host to the leadership of the Pacesetter Peace Team (PPT) under the chairmanship of Barrister Ademola Adeniji. He commended the group’s efforts towards sustaining peace and unity within the party ahead of the next year 2027 general elections.
Alake-Adeyemo said the APC leadership values all aspirants and party faithful, noting that where many persons jostle for a ticket, only one will ultimately emerge through the party’s processes, while assuring that others will not be ignored.

“I want to assure you that the party leadership values all our aspirants and party faithful. But in a situation where we have like fifteen aspirants jostling for a ticket, it is only one that will emerge, but we will ensure that others are not also ignored,” Alake-Adeyemo stated.
Alake-Adeyemo declared his full support for the peace group and prayed for the success of the Team.
The Oyo APC chairman, Alake-Adeyemo, mobilised support for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his bid for re-election; championed the governorship agenda of the Oyo APC standardbearer, Senator Sharafadeen Alli; and rallied party members toward a landslide victory for all APC flagbearers in 2027.
Earlier, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the PPT and former PRO of the progressive party in the state, Hon. Dauda Kolawole, described the group as a diverse social-political peace advocacy team, united on the platform of the Oyo APC, with the single aim of ensuring a united, harmonious and victorious APC come 2027.
Hon. (Barr) Yishau Adesope Azeez, a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and key stakeholder of the group, commended the party chairman’s relentless efforts in building a formidable Oyo APC. He urged the party leadership to intensify conflict resolution and grassroots mobilisation to keep the party strong, cohesive and focused.
Hon. Afeez Adeleke, another former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and key stakeholder of the group called on party leaders to prioritise win-win approaches that guarantee harmonious relationship, and ensure ‘no victor, no vanquished’ arrangements.
Alfa Musibaudeen Ajinikirun also lauded the chairman for reaching out personally to party aspirants. He urged continued efforts in addressing ongoing internal differences and promoting grassroots mobilisation.
Hon. Monsuru Adeyemo (Socrates), the PRO for the Forum of Former Council Vice Chairmen in the state (G-68) and a former House of Representatives aspirant, reiterated that the Team is diverse, inclusive, and driven by peace, unity and progress of Oyo APC under the party chairman’s helmsmanship. He saluted the APC leadership under Chief Alake-Adeyemo and urged mutually beneficial arrangements that would address the concerns of all APC aspirants and members across Oyo State, and also aide total victory for the party come next year 2027 general elections.
In her remarks, Hon. (Mrs) Olufunmilayo Adigun, Secretary of the peace group, said the diversity of the PPT is a strength, arguing it provides a credible alternative for achieving not only electoral victory for the APC in 2027, but also ensuring that unheard voices are listened to and lingering issues are resolved amicably.
Other stakeholders of the group also respectively underscored peaceful, harmonious and victorious Oyo APC, come 2027.
At the end of the meeting, the leadership of the Pacesetter Peace Team unanimously issued a statement of credence to Chief Alake-Adeyemo and expressed confidence in the party’s helmsman in the state.
