Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, Member of the House of Representatives for Oluyole Federal Constituency, has issued a press statement rejecting “false, misleading and self-serving” allegations attributed to one Mr. Abiodun Gbolagade regarding matters tied to the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election and related court proceedings.
In the statement, Akande-Sadipe said she was compelled to respond because the claims were being circulated to negatively influence party members and the public, despite the issues already pending before a competent court.
RE: FALSE ALLEGATIONS REGARDING SERVICE OF COURT PROCESSES, MY RESIDENCE, AND THE APC OLUYOLE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY PRIMARY ELECTION
My attention has been drawn to yet another publication credited to Mr. Abiodun Gbolagade in which he made several false, misleading, and self-serving allegations regarding the ongoing legal proceedings arising from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Ordinarily, I would not dignify such claims with a response, particularly as the matter is already before a court of competent jurisdiction. However, it has become necessary to correct deliberate falsehoods intended to mislead party members and the general public.
- FALSE CLAIM THAT I HAVE VACATED MY RESIDENCE
The allegation that I have packed out of my residence with my belongings and that my whereabouts are unknown is entirely false, malicious, and irresponsible.
I remain at my residence and continue to carry out my constitutional duties as the duly elected Member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency. My constituency office remains fully operational, and I continue to meet with constituents and stakeholders in the normal course of my official responsibilities.
The attempt to create the false impression that I am evading court processes is nothing more than political propaganda designed to influence public perception.
- I HAVE NEVER EVADED SERVICE OF ANY COURT PROCESS
The allegation that I declined to accept service of court processes is equally false.
Questions regarding service of court processes are matters to be addressed before the court and not through the media. The courts have well-established procedures for determining whether service has been properly effected, and I have every confidence in the judicial process.
It is therefore inappropriate for any litigant to attempt to litigate procedural issues through press interviews.
- THE PRIMARY ELECTION REMAINS THE SUBJECT OF LITIGATION
Mr. Gbolagade has once again sought to present his version of events regarding the APC primary election as though it were an established fact.
It is not.
The issues surrounding the conduct of the primary election are precisely the matters now before the court for determination. As such, I shall refrain from arguing the merits of the case in the media out of respect for the judiciary.
However, I categorically reject every attempt to distort the facts surrounding the APC primary process.
- APC MEMBERS SHOULD REMAIN CALM
I urge all APC members, leaders, and supporters across Oluyole Federal Constituency to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused on strengthening our great party.
The APC is a party founded on internal democracy and respect for the rule of law. I have every confidence that due process will prevail.
No amount of misinformation, propaganda, or repeated falsehoods can substitute for credible evidence before a court of law.
- MY FOCUS REMAINS SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE
Rather than engage in endless media propaganda, I remain committed to delivering effective representation and quality service to the good people of Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Our numerous interventions in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, water supply, rural electrification, youth and women empowerment, employment facilitation, humanitarian assistance, and constituency development speak louder than politically motivated narratives.
The people of Oluyole know the truth, and history is a faithful witness to genuine service.
I remain confident that truth, justice, and due process will ultimately prevail.
