Today, as I attain yet another significant milestone in my life and journey of service, my heart is filled with profound gratitude, but also with deep nostalgia.

At a moment as historic and meaningful as this, I cannot help but remember two very special people who would have shared this day with immense pride and joy.

I remember my best friend, my companion, and the man I was proud and privileged to call my husband for 40 remarkable years. Through the different seasons of life, you stood beside me, encouraged me, believed in me, and celebrated every step of my journey. I can only imagine the pride and happiness with which you would have witnessed this moment.

I also remember my first fruit, my precious and dearest daughter, who filled my life with immeasurable joy for 44 beautiful years. Your love, laughter, warmth, and presence brought a special light into my life that can never be replaced.

Today, as I present my Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Austria as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Austria, I know that both of you would have been the icing on the cake. Your presence would have made an already memorable occasion even more complete.

Yet, through the emotions and the memories, I choose gratitude.

I give God all the thanks for the privilege of having shared such beautiful years with both of you. I am grateful for the love we shared, the laughter, the lessons, the family moments, and the countless memories that time can never erase.

Though you are no longer physically here to witness this milestone, you remain forever woven into the fabric of my life and my story. In every new chapter, I carry something of you with me.

So today, I celebrate this milestone with gratitude to God, pride in the country I have been called to serve, and precious memories of two extraordinary people whose love will remain forever in my heart.

This moment is bittersweet, but above all, it is a testimony to God’s faithfulness.

To my beloved husband ABIOLA and my precious daughter ABISOLA, I carry you with me today, as always.

Forever loved.
Forever remembered.
Forever cherished.
