Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi, has presided over a session of the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice holding in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Amb. Ajimobi, who is serving as Vice-President of the Congress on behalf of the African Group, described it as a privilege to chair the session.
Ajimobi said the Congress remains one of the most important platforms for Member States to compare notes, deepen dialogue and strengthen international cooperation on crime, the rule of law and criminal justice.
The former First Lady of Oyo State also disclosed that she engaged with key Nigerian stakeholders in the crime prevention and criminal justice sector on the sidelines of the Congress, including the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, and the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd).
The President of Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation (SAAF) reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and contributing to global efforts aimed at preventing crime and building safer, more secure societies.
The 15th UN Crime Congress brings together member states, international organisations and experts to review progress and chart new approaches to combating transnational crime, corruption and drug trafficking.
