2027: With unity of purpose, collective efforts, APC will reclaim Oyo – Says Prof Taoheed Adedoja as party gov reconciliation c’ttee chairman hosts ‘Pacesetter Peace Team’ (PHOTOS)

The Co-Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Reconciliation Committee in Oyo State, Professor Taoheed Adedoja has rallied support for the party, affirming that with the unity of purpose and collective efforts, Oyo APC will record landslide victory come 2027, and dislodge the ruling PDP/APM.

The former minister of sports and special duties stated this on Saturday in Ibadan while playing host to the leadership of the Pacesetter Peace Team (PPT) under the chairmanship of Barrister Ademola Adeniji. He hailed the group’s efforts towards sustaining peace and unity within the party ahead of the next year 2027 general elections.

Prof. Adedoja who nostalgically narrated his bittersweet experiences in life and politics lauded the visiting party chieftains for their good visions and efforts geared towards the victory of the party.

Adedoja stated that the party is fully committed to ensuring that every party faithful is valued, stressing that no aspirant or loyalist would be sidelined in the build-up to the APC’s quest to reclaim the Agodi Government House in 2027.

The 2007 Action Congress (AC) gubernatorial candidate, Adedoja who recalled his experiences in the struggles to govern Oyo State emphasised that the APC leadership in the state values all aspirants and party stalwarts, noting that where many persons jostle for a ticket, only one will ultimately emerge through the party’s processes, while assuring that others will not be ignored by the leadership of the party.”Let’s trust God, by His Grace, we shall not labour in vain. We shall all reap the fruits of our labour”, he prayed.

“I want to assure you that the party leadership values all our aspirants and party faithful. But in a situation where we have many aspirants jostling for a ticket, it is only one who would emerge, but we have recommended that others should also be given opportunities to serve at different levels of responsibilities,” Adedoja said.

Adedoja who lauded Hon. Taofeek Amoo, a member of the group, as a grassroots politician, declared his full support for the peace group and prayed for the success of the Team.

Adedoja, who maintained that it is only through progressive governance Oyo people can enjoy the true dividends of democracy, mobilised support for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his bid for re-election; championed the governorship agenda of the Oyo APC standardbearer, Senator Sharafadeen Alli; and rallied party members toward a landslide victory for all APC candidates in 2027.

Earlier, the Chairman of the PPT, Barrister Adeniji lauded Prof. Adedoja for his relentless efforts to unite Oyo APC and he noted the ideals of PPT which he said are inline with the visions of the reconciliation committee and the progressive party in the state.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the PPT and former PRO of the party in the state, Hon. Dauda Kolawole, described the group as a socio-political peace advocacy team, united on the platform of the Oyo APC, with the single aim of ensuring a united, harmonious and victorious APC come 2027.

Hon. Monsuru Adeyemo (Socrates), the PRO for the Forum of Former Council Vice Chairmen in the state (G-68) and Coordinator of the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) in the state, who described Prof. Adedoja as an erudite scholar and experienced politician, appreciated the former Provost of Federal College of Education, Special (FCES), Oyo for the wisdom nuggets and charismatic mode of leadership he displayed while hosting the group.

Hon. Adeyemo saluted the APC leadership under the chairmanship of Chief Alake-Adeyemo and he urged mutually beneficial arrangements that would address the concerns of all APC aspirants and members, both at the grasstops and grassroots levels, and subsequently engender total victory for the party come 2027 general elections.

In her remarks, Hon. (Mrs) Olufunmilayo Adigun, the secretary of the peace group commended the party bigwigs who are expending resources to ensure the party’s victory come 2027, while nothing that such supports are yet to be effectively felt by the grassroots of the party. She urged party leadership to service proper channels that will cater for every member of the party, without discrimination, and subsequently motivate the faithful to remain committed.

Other stakeholders of the group also respectively mobilised support for peaceful, harmonious and victorious Oyo APC, come 2027.

At the end of the meeting, the leadership of the Pacesetter Peace Team unanimously issued a statement of credence to Prof. Adedoja and prayed for his success in all his endeavours.

Also in attendance were Com Odewole Omotayo, Comrade Bolaji Nurudeen, Prince Lawal, Hon Afadoja Comrade Raji Oyewumi, Pa Oyetunji Mathew, Hon Abass Gbadegesin and others.
