Oyo 2027: Tinubu Backs Alli as Folarin Visits Villa (PHOTO)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday played a host of former Senate Leader and former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, freshpage.com.ng reported.

A source disclosed to the newspaper revealed that the meeting was part of the move by the President to rally key stakeholders behind the governorship ambition of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Though, Senator Folarin didn’t purchase APC nomination and expression of interest forms, but he has vast majority of core loyalists across progressive folds in Oyo State.

While Senator Olufemi Lanlehin and Prof. Taoreed Adedoja led Reconciliation Committee were busy meeting key stakeholders at the state level, President Tinubu has keyed in to complement the efforts of the Reconciliation Committee.

The move appears as a boost to governorship candidate of the party, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.
